New dataset: ANTAVIA-TrackingKing

Yan Ropert-Coudert has provided a new dataset on tracking data for king penguins, as a contribution from the new SCAR-EGBAMM group. The dataset includes over 100k records from GPS tracking of known-age and sex king penguins from Crozet Archipelago (age data are available upon request from the senior author).

New dataset: Antarctic Arrow worms

Arrow worms (Phylum Chaetognatha) are abundant planktonic organisms and important predators in many food webs; yet, the classification and evolutionary relationships among chaetognath species remain poorly understood. A seemingly simple body plan is underlain by subtle variation in morphological details, obscuring the affinities of species within the phylum. Many species achieve near global distributions, … Continue reading New dataset: Antarctic Arrow worms

New dataset: Antarctic Nemertea

Open-ocean environments provide few obvious barriers to the dispersal of marine organisms. Major currents and/or environmental gradients potentially impede gene flow. One system hypothesized to form an open-ocean dispersal barrier is the Antarctic Polar Front, an area characterized by marked temperature change, deep water, and the high-flow Antarctic Circumpolar current. Despite these potential isolating … Continue reading New dataset: Antarctic Nemertea

New dataset: Antarctic Amphipoda

A new dataset is available, including original records on Amphipods from Claude De Broyer team. The data is extracted from the Catalogue of the Gammaridean and Corophiidean Amphipoda (Crustacea) of the Southern Ocean with distribution and ecological data. In: De Broyer C. (Ed.), Census of Antarctic Marine Life, Synopsis of the Amphipoda of the Southern Ocean. … Continue reading New dataset: Antarctic Amphipoda
