Last week a group Antarctic Data managers gather during the 8th Symposium on Polar Studies held in Palma de Mallorca on 7-9 September 2011, hosted by the University of the Balearic Islands. Of course AntaBIF was present as well.
Data managers from more than 10 countries came together to familiarize themselves with each other work and to improve collaborations between nations. Besides learning from each other past achievements, this workshop aimed at defining new benchmarks for the future.
After the daily meetings, there was some time to explore the city of Palma, Including a reception hosted by the Mayor at the Castle Bellver.
